Game description:

The game takes place after the events of Metro: Last Light. During one of the raids to the surface, Artyom learns that the government of the metro, the Hansa and Artyom’s direct supervisors from Sparta for 20 years from a nuclear war have jammed radio signals in Moscow, hiding that NATO countries have recovered from the war and only Russia continues to be in ruins. After destroying the signal jamming station with their comrades and freeing the Metro residents from government propaganda, the characters of the game go by train to Mount Yamantau, located several thousand kilometers from Moscow, where the Russian government was supposed to hide from a nuclear war. On the way there, the characters find out that part of the country is under occupation by NATO countries, and also that, in view of jamming signals, the United States and Europe believe that the entire population of Moscow was destroyed by nuclear strikes. Ultimately, the characters get to Yamantau, but it soon turns out that the remnants of the Russian government, hiding in Yamantau, are racist cannibals who hate people "from the surface" and the heroes are captured by them.
